Aspire is a successful, compassionate, effective, and focused educational charity that attains to the highest standards of professionalism. It guides, challenges, and supports 19 diverse academies. It puts children first, looking to provide them with a truly outstanding, world-class education. Its drive towards achieving these goals is provided by some of the finest and most skilled Primary practitioners and leaders in the county and country.
The Trust is fully committed and focused on continuous school improvement. By employing experts in buildings, finance, compliance, personnel, IT and health and safety, we seek to remove the bureaucratic and compliance related duties away from our school leaders and teaching staff, freeing them to focus on teaching and improving opportunities for pupils.
Already we see pupils from the Trust’s academies spending time in each other’s schools, staff sharing good practice and school leaders working with each other in ways they have never done before.
The goal of the Trust is for each academy not just to be or become outstanding but sustain that standard always. It will ensure that it continuously strives to have:
We recognise this as a brave and exciting move away from what has gone before, our member academies have wholeheartedly embraced these principles and cannot wait to work with others to help them as well.
At the Aspire conference, held at the Headland Hotel in September 2015, Sir David Carter, SW Regional School Commissioner said:
Aspire is a flagship multi academy trust…
….and on Twitter:
Delighted to present @AspireAcademies conference this morning in Newquay. A trust that knows how to improve standards through accountability.
Vanessa Bragg, Deputy CEO
We are ambitious for our children. Aspire is a vibrant, highly successful and widely recognised Trust determined to raise standards of educational achievement to the very highest levels. We don’t just aim for our children to achieve what is average or expected, but for them to excel both academically and in character.
We live in a global economy that requires our children to be prepared to think both critically and creatively, solve complex problems, and to communicate well. Mastery of the basics: reading, writing, maths and technology is our core purpose and this sits firmly alongside ensuring our children have well-developed social and emotional skills. Aspire Academies have a strong emphasis on the sport, arts and social, moral spiritual and cultural education as seen in this magazine.
All of our schools and academies are an integral part of their local communities and have a real sense of identity. We value the contribution each of our communities make and the distinctive opportunities and diversity it offers to the Trust. By working in true partnership as a Trust, we offer exceptional learning experiences to all of our children, so they benefit from the strength that being part of the extended Aspire family brings.
